Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday (8:30am EST-5:30pm EST)

Who we are: Through an international network of Affiliates, I Support the Girls (ISTG) collects and distributes essential items, including bras, underwear, and menstrual hygiene products, allowing women and folx experiencing homelessness, impoverishment, or distress to stand tall with dignity. I Support the Girls (ISTG), a nonprofit organization, is seeking a responsible, organized, and reliable full-time Donation & Warehouse Coordinator to oversee and assist with weekly warehouse duties. This role will require one to work in the HQ located in Rockville, MD. The successful candidate will work alongside other ISTG’s staff and volunteers. Weekly tasks will include but are not limited to picking up packages at the Wheaton, Maryland Post Office, sorting through donations, managing the inventory, overseeing shipments and distributions, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Manage weekly intake of packages, including picking up from the Wheaton, Maryland Post Office, tracking each package, unboxing, and sorting packages (with the help of volunteers)

Recruit and manage local volunteers and donors coming to the office

Oversee volunteers at on & off-site volunteer events

Input incoming and outgoing donation data into Google sheets and online databases

Manage outgoing shipments by filling product requests, preparing packages for shipment, and shipping donations at the Post Office or FedEx

Fulfill local distributions to partner organizations; includes researching, vetting, and contacting organizations by phone and email

Maintain a clean, safe, and organized HQ environment for different stakeholders who occasionally frequent the space

Communicate professionally via email and phone calls-interfacing with external and internal stakeholders. Schedule administrative meetings and record minutes

Track warehouse inventory on a consistent basis and provide updates to the Director of Operations

Work alongside and oversee volunteers unboxing and sorting packages

Order products for ISTG warehouse and partner organizations as needed; stock office and warehouse supplies

Write the monthly newsletter with other staff and volunteer assistance

Other duties as assigned

Competencies And Knowledge You Should Possess

Physical strength, stamina, and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time and lift boxes of varying sizes and weights up to 40-50 lbs

Comfortable being personable & energetic

Comfortable engaging with people from diverse backgrounds

Organized and detail oriented, especially as it relates to keeping an inventory

Ability to safely use a pallet jack and other warehouse equipment and climb a warehouse ladder

Leadership, management, and ability to work well with others

Must be able to use and have excellent skills with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) and Google Docs and Sheets, software applications similar to Microsoft Office

Passion for menstrual equity and women’s health is a plus

Be flexible and be able to multitask

Requirements

MUST have a driver’s license, clean driving record AND a reliable vehicle. Be able and comfortable to perform physical labor. Walking and/or standing for long periods of time and lifting boxes of varying sizes and weights up to 40-50 lbs. This person must live in the DC area.
