Chief Financial Officer

My client is a privately held commercial Real Estate investment and development firm focused on deep value creation for their investors and partners.

They are looking for someone that has a strong skillset in cross-functional alignment, process design and implementation with a lens of productivity improvement.

The company is highly respected for their innovative re-positioning and development of multiple asset types.

They are seeking a strategic, operational, and process-oriented CFO who will work closely with the CEO and the Executive Leadership team to develop strategic plans to improve the company’s overall financial health.

Will be tasked with implementing structure around existing and new accounting processes, while not being afraid to challenge the status quo.

Primary Responsibilities:

-Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and variance analyses

-Provide GAAP guidance and support

-Review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure records adhere to company policies and GAAP

-Manage tax strategies and ensure compliance with regulations

-Collaborate with Senior Leadership in making data driven and logical investment decisions

-Supervise entire Accounting and Finance team

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

-15+ years of relevant finance experience

-CPA a MUST

-Masters strongly preferred

-Strong understanding of Real Estate investment ventures and the Real Estate development process

-Understanding of regulatory compliance, including SEC regulations and tax laws

-High level knowledge of US GAAP, IAS and IFRS

-Risk management

-Superior analytical skills with a strong understanding of Real Estate financial metrics

-Excellent working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
