Senior Property Accountant

RETS Associates has been retained by our client, a privately held real estate investment company founded in 1932, to hire a Senior Property Accountant. The Company controls nearly $400M in assets in 5 states comprised of 1.3MSF of industrial properties and 400 multifamily units. The Company's corporate office is located in Belmont, CA, and where this position is based.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the accuracy, propriety and timeliness of financial data and reports maintained and prepared for the Company. The position works directly with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Accounting staff and outside accountants, as well as the Directors of Residential and Commercial/Industrial Property Management, tenants and vendors.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

5 to 7 years’ experience in accounting or finance position. Experience in real estate is highly desirable.

Proficiency with property management/accounting software (Yardi).
