Business Intelligence Developer

Robert Half is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst, who will play a crucial role in the development and enhancement of our AP dashboard, focusing on financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) necessary for our clients.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, understand business needs, and translate them into actionable insights using Power BI. Your responsibilities will extend to building proof-of-concept solutions for potential clients, ensuring our capabilities align with stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

Requirement Gathering and Analysis: Attend meetings with stakeholders to comprehend requirements, identify possibilities within Power BI, and define project scopes.

Dashboard Development: Build executive-level dashboards from scratch, collaborating with data engineers and analysts. Ensure high-quality, visually appealing dashboards with advanced drill-down capabilities.

Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in Power BI to set up financial reporting structures, enhance dashboard capabilities, and explore functionalities within Power BI Service.

Agile Framework: Work within an Agile framework, participating in stand-up meetings and scrum ceremonies, and executing tasks within two-week sprint cycles.

Data Integration: Collaborate with the data team to integrate staged data from Snowflake into Power BI.

Tool Transition: Facilitate the transition from Domo to Power BI, ensuring seamless migration and providing support to stakeholders.

Continuous Improvement: Act as a center of excellence for BI solutions, continuously improving dashboard aesthetics and functionality based on stakeholder feedback.

Technical Consultation: Evaluate the existing BI environment, suggest improvements, and explore alternative approaches to optimize BI processes.

Communication: Articulate ideas and recommendations clearly and concisely, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and team members.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

4-6 years of experience in Business Intelligence, with a focus on Power BI.

Proficiency in Power BI, with experience in Tableau and Domo being advantageous.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas effectively.

Proven track record of building high-quality dashboards and reports.

Familiarity with Snowflake, Azure, and Synapse for data staging and integration.

Ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.

Analytical mindset with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

Prior experience in financial reporting and executive-level dashboard development is preferred.
