The client is looking to add a well-qualified engineer that will work in a Pharmaceutical/Biotech lab-scale manufacturing environment. This role requires an engineering background to apply mechanical and electrical engineering concepts. Duties include providing engineering support to manufacturing operations by performing Routine Preventive maintenance, coordinating instrument calibrations and troubleshooting services. The position will follow departmental SOPs and adhere to all Company & Safety Policies.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct Daily rounds, monitor process and utility equipment.

Troubleshoot process equipment such as Bioreactors, Autoclaves, Purified Water systems in a GMP environment.

Oversee Remote monitoring systems, respond to alarms and on-demand service calls.

Provide engineering support to Manufacturing, participate in daily standup meetings for production planning.

Conduct Vendor Walk-thrus.

Perform mechanical and repair work in a clean room environment.

Schedule Inspections and maintenance activities.

Maintain Service documentation, Work orders within a CMMS.

Support Quality Assurance with conducting investigations, CAPA and change controls.

Participate in Facility Improvement projects, acquire estimates and bids for projects and create purchase requisitions.

Maintain General facility upkeep and supervise housekeeping.

Support and Participate in EHS programs/activities.

Create concept diagrams and engineering/facility drawings on AutoCAD.

Collaborate with other departments and work in a cross-functional project environment with good customer service.

Education & Skills:

Must have a Bachelor's degree (Science/Engineering).

Previous experience with a QMS and CMMS (Maximo, BMRAM etc).

Experience with Utilities such as Chillers, Boilers, Hot water,, Clean Compressed gases.

Previous experience working in a biotech/pharmaceutical production facility with critical utilities (RO,WFI, Clean Steam).

Experience with EHS programs.

Experience with creation Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

Experience working with BAS/BMS.

Understanding of HVAC systems.

AutoCAD knowledge/experience is a must.

Physical & Mental Demands:

Must be able to lift 40lb occasionally

Must be able to spend significant duration of the day walking around facility

Working Conditions:

Onsite presence is required in Washington, US.

Flexibility to work onsite between 6 am-6 pm.
