Associate Attorney - M&A and Private Equity

Chicago office of an AM Law 50 firm is looking for a mid-level to join their corporate group. The ideal candidate will have between three and six years of M&A and private equity transactional experience, specifically with prior involvement representing financial sponsors and strategic buyer/sellers in connection with leveraged buyouts, sell-side transactions, growth equity and minority investments, and related strategic transactions, including preparation of acquisition/disposition agreements and related closing documents and closing transactions. Experience with capital formation, partnerships and finance would also be helpful. All candidates must be admitted to the Illinois Bar.

Responsibilities

Provide legal support to clients and assist attorneys

Maintain client relationships

Prepare legal reports and documents

Qualifications

Juris Doctorate (JD) Degree from a top 50 law school

3 - 6 years of M&A and Private Equity experience

Experience with leverage buyouts and sell-side transactions

Experience with minority investments and closing documents

Admitted to the Illinois Bar.
