About the Position:

Allied Resources is looking for a Process Design Engineer with experience working at Industrial plants for an exciting Full-time opportunity with a forward-thinking and innovative Chemical company based in Linden, NJ. Job Responsibilities:

Develop design specifications for various project stages to communicate design basis and project execution blueprint.

Conduct calculations including hydraulics, heat and mass balances, heat transfer, instrumentation/equipment sizing, safety relief system sizing, etc.

Create PFDs, P&IDs, and equipment/instrument datasheets.

Assist in managing project planning and front-end engineering stages.

Provide support during project execution and detailed engineering phases.

Utilize process design expertise to: conduct proof of concept checks; perform cold eyes reviews of designs; implement technical concepts into plant operations; collaborate with engineering specialists, project engineers, and cost estimators.

Engage in global networks aimed at enhancing the development process and exchanging process design insights.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and 4+ years process engineering experience required.

Experience utilizing industry design, engineering and process safety standards (i.e., ASME, API).

Knowledge of project development and execution process; specifically stage/gate process a plus.

Attention to detail; clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

PE, PMP, MBA a plus.
