Maternal/Child Health Nursing Director
Location: Queens, NY, ONSITE
The Maternal/Child Health (MCH) Nursing Director will be in charge of overseeing that care provided by nurses is efficient and thorough. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires collaboration with the CNO, as well as managers to achieve the highest level of operational and clinical efficiency that aligns with the hospital’s standards and values. This is a full-time, permanent RN position working for a reputable health system in the area.
Responsibilities of the Maternal/Child Health Nursing Director RN include overseeing operational workflow across departments, managing budgets, updating policy procedures, and cross collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. The Maternal/Child Health Nursing Director should have previous experience with rebuilding and growing service lines, developing, identifying, and implementing new programs.
The Maternal/Child Health Nursing Director RN will be knowledgeable with maintaining internal and external relationships with physicians, community agencies, and outreach programs, monitoring key performance indicators, developing strategic initiative, along with overseeing labor delivery, mother-baby and a NICU team. The Maternal/Child Health Nursing Director must be a Registered Nurse, ideally holding (or currently completing) their Masters, along with previous Director or Senior Manager experience within an inpatient women & children services department.

Required:
RN with a current license in NY State, master’s degree preferred
