SAP S4 Hana Technical Lead (BTP, ABAP, S4) - Travel

Optomi, in partnership with a leading technology company within the packaging manufacturing industry, is seeking a SAP ABAP Technical Lead to fulfill a contract-to-hire opportunity with a client based in Atlanta, GA. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SAP ABAP Technical Lead to lead our client’s SAP ABAP development team.

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of SAP ABAP Developers, overseeing the development and maintenance of SAP solutions, and ensuring the successful execution of SAP projects. You will be a key contributor to our client’s SAP initiatives and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality SAP solutions that align with our business objectives.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Proven experience in SAP ABAP development with a deep understanding of SAP technologies and modules

Previous experience managing a team of SAP ABAP Developers

Strong knowledge of SAP best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Project management experience is a plus

SAP certification is a strong advantage

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and lead a team of SAP Developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment

Designing comprehensive SAP solutions that integrate S/4HANA with other systems using BTP, CPI, and APIM, ensuring that the architecture meets both current and future business needs. Creating and maintaining a roadmap for SAP landscape evolution, including the transition to S/4HANA and the adoption of cloud services.

Developing and implementing integration strategies using SAP CPI to connect S/4HANA with various SAP and non-SAP applications, ensuring seamless data flow and process integration. Designing and managing APIs using SAP APIM to facilitate secure and efficient communication between different systems and applications.

Leveraging SAP BTP to build, extend, and enhance applications, processes, and innovation capabilities in the SAP ecosystem, ensuring they are fully integrated with the core S/4HANA system.

Manage SAP ABAP projects, including planning, resource allocation, and project execution. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget

Leverage your strong technical background in SAP ABAP development to provide guidance, support, and expertise to the development team

Implement and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality control measures to maintain the integrity and reliability of SAP solutions

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions

Identify and address performance bottlenecks in SAP applications, optimizing code and processes for improved system efficiency

Ensure comprehensive documentation of SAP ABAP solutions, including technical specifications, design documents, and change logs

Ensure compliance with SAP best practices and standards, as well as adherence to security and data protection policies
