Attorney - Cyber & Data Security

Position Overview:

The Washington, DC office has an immediate opening in its Cyber & Data Security Team, within its Litigation & Trial Practice group, for an associate with 2-6 years' experience. The optimal candidate will have strong experience in breach investigations and responses, as well as substantive experience in cybersecurity and privacy counseling.

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.

Active membership in a U.S. State Bar.

Minimum of 2 years of experience practicing cyber and data security law, preferably at a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.

Strong knowledge of cybersecurity laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, and other relevant privacy laws.

Experience advising clients on cybersecurity incident response, data breach notification, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.

Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
