Job Title: Automation Engineer

Location: Houston, Texas (Hybrid)

Contract Length: 12 months (Extensions possible)

Hourly Rate: Negotiable depending on experience - Up to $120 p/h

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Role Overview: As an Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing and optimizing our industrial processes by implementing automation solutions. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, leveraging your expertise with Emerson DeltaV and other Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to drive efficiency and reliability. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid model, combining remote and on-site responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement automation solutions.

Utilize your expertise with Emerson DeltaV and other DCS systems to configure and optimize process control strategies.

Develop and maintain code for automation systems, ensuring robustness and scalability.

Conduct thorough troubleshooting and diagnostics to identify and resolve technical issues promptly.

Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, with a focus on safety and quality.

Provide technical support and guidance to internal stakeholders, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Participate in project planning and risk assessment activities, contributing to the successful delivery of automation projects.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.

Proven experience in full project lifecycle management within industrial automation, with a focus on Emerson DeltaV.

Strong troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.

Familiarity with regulated industries (e.g., pharmaceuticals, oil & gas) and adherence to compliance standards (e.g., FDA, GMP) is preferred.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and methodologies.

Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
