JOB SUMMARY (You must reside in Arizona)
Hope High School Online is currently accepting resumes for a full-time Math teacher to fill one online teaching position opening immediately. Online Teachers are responsible for the instruction and delivery of content to students enrolled in online courses and the creation/revision of Hope High School Online's curriculum.
OVERALL ESSENTIAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach material from the approved Blueprint Education curriculum and identify and implement supplemental material to support student learning
Grade and provide specific feedback on all student work within 24 business hours of submission
Answer student content-related questions (answer all emails, texts, phone calls within 24 business hours)
Publish and communicate a weekly schedule of instruction groups and tutoring sessions for students
Prepare lesson plans for virtual instruction groups and invite students to attend
Analyze data to create student interventions when necessary
Analyze data to provide state testing tutoring for students in need
Analyze data and provide weekly group tutoring sessions in assigned courses (as needed)
Actively seek out students and set up 1-1 tutoring sessions for students in need (virtually or in person)
Actively communicate with students to assist them academically
Track student progress in courses, motivate and work with Academic Coaches (and other staff) if progress is inadequate
Motivate students to actively participate in all aspects of the educational process, including but not limited to assignments, discussion questions, instruction groups, 1-1 tutoring sessions
Actively participate in student-related meetings (IEP, parent/teacher conferences, etc.)
Actively participate in staff meetings and continuously work in a team environment
Have the ability to collaborate effectively and contribute to the team
Provide academic feedback to staff working with students (Academic Coaches, ESS, ELL, etc.)
Work with ESS team and ELL teachers to make needed accommodations to student work
Continuously work on revising, editing, and updating approved curriculum to ensure alignment to standards and Galileo assessments
Continuously locate resources to support students (videos, podcasts, tutorials, etc.).
Revise existing curriculum by developing standards-based assignment choices for students
Add high-rigor, standards-based questions to curriculum assessments
Use data to evaluate and recommend curriculum edits

Communicate with students and parents regarding academic progress
Use a variety of methods and techniques to engage students in learning and increase rigor
Meet the diverse needs of an alternative student population
Provide recognition to students for effort and academic success and growth
Reflect on teaching and seek to increase content-area knowledge and instructional strategies
Attend Exceptional Student Meetings (i.e. IEP and ELL)
Must have and maintain your own computer and internet access
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Arizona Teaching Certificate (preferred)
Highly Qualified
Dual reas preferred
SEI endorsed preferred
Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card

While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to:
Use a computer for several hours a day
Answer phones (speaking and hearing)
Sit for long periods of time
Use their hands and fingers (to handle paperwork and equipment)
Stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands
Stoop, kneel, or crouch on occasion
Lift items up to 50 lbs.
Be able to see items near and far (vision)

HOURS
Full Time: Approximately 40 hours a week - 12 months a year
