Lobbyist- Full Time

Experience you will need:
Preferably 15 years of proven experience with a legislative office, private law firm, federal, state, or regional regulatory agency or at a company or trade association or combined professional experiences.
Experience in the oil and petroleum industry, environment
Possesses strong oral and written communication skills.
Comfortable working under strict deadlines and collaboratively with the staff, members and outside legal counsel.
Strong initiative and ability to manage multiple and diverse projects.
Bachelor's degree in business administration, political science, communications, or related field.
What you will be doing:
Manage legislative and regulatory issues of concern to the company and its members.
Provide analysis to regional, Sacramento-based staff, and contract lobbyists on various legislative and regulatory issues involving industry matters.
Support the expanded advocacy mission of the company
Register as an in-house lobbyist for the company, providing cover for the company in a variety of forums.
Work with contract lobbyists and relevant committees to promote the company's interests.
Develop and execute lobbying strategies related to issues pending and anticipated before the legislature and relevant agencies.
Draft and analyze legislative and regulatory policies to determine the impact to member companies and the petroleum and natural gas industry.
Monitor and anticipate relevant political and policy developments impacting member organizations and help develop strategies for engagement.
Assign and manage contract lobbyists and advocates on behalf of the Association.
Coordinate internally and manage projects between teams to ensure accountability, strategic alignment, and results.
Build and maintain relationships with legislators, regulators, and their staff.
Responsible for bill advocacy, analysis, tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
