JOB PURPOSE AND IMPACT:

The Trade Compliance Operations Consultant, will apply a basic level of trade compliance operations knowledge to perform fundamental activities . In this role, you will collaborate with multiple business units to drive continuous improvement.

Key functions will be to understand internal customers' (BUs) requirements and to provide sustainable and compliant solutions in the area of Export Import and foreign trade operations.

As a Trade compliance Consultant, you will be responsible for export Import operations and compliance for the products Cargill exports/Import across the globe. You will be SME for giving support services for different BUs for day-to-day customs clearances, new regulations, valuations, HS classifications, PGA requirements, Export incentives schemes, Import incentives, FTAs, Duty Drawback, and post clearance compliance for all activities. You will have to collaborate with the supply chain, procurement, logistics, legal, and tax team to give the best services to BUs. You will also be part of all global cross-border projects, cost savings projects, new trade initiatives etc.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Validate and coordinate logistics and transportation as well as import/export transactional requirements, fulfilling regulatory requirements and executing customs clearance.

Ensure compliance with free-time demurrage and maintain relationships with standard partners.

Independently review or prepare documents to meet legal and fiscal requirements.

Manage client interaction and business partnerships to support global trade compliance, collaborating to implement solutions.

Execute trade activities, maintaining partnerships, to meet global trade compliance goals.

Perform data (management, analysis and reporting) requirements to analyze risk trends based on audits and monitor various metrics and reports.

Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Other duties as assigned

Co-ordinating with internal and external stakeholders for various key activities related to AEO/SVB

Co-ordinating, follow up and evaluation of CHA performance for export and import activities and placing monitoring and control measures.

Daily tracking of Ice gate portal/DGFT portal/CBEC portal /Customs portal for various updates

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience

Other minimum qualifications may apply

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Customshouse Broker License or equivalent strongly preferred

Experience managing SAP and global trade services

Knowledge of foreign exchange controls

Minimum four years of experience in customs import/export

Preferred qualification is MCOM/MBA in Foreign trade/BE/B-Tech

Person having exposure to FMCG/Chemical/Animal nutrition industry will have added advantages.
