Project Manager - Corporate Development

Job Description

Steelgem provides management and support services to multiple healthcare services. We provide marketing, HR, legal, and financial support so the substance abuse and mental health centers can focus on their client’s recovery. The Steelgem offices are located in Santa Ana with some remote/hybrid staff across the United States. This position will require on-site work in the offices to facilitate meetings.

Steelgem is seeking a talented Project Manager for the Corporate Development team. This role will report to the VP of Corporate Development and General Counsel and will support a variety of projects to help accelerate growth, develop strong organizational practices and helping the support departments succeed. We are a small but growing company looking for someone excited to join the team at a pivotal time and build best practices that will take us to our next stage of growth.

Our Project Manager is responsible for tracking, organizing, and coordinating active Corporate Development and other departments' projects, ensuring projects remain on schedule and on time. They will conduct regular follow-ups with both stakeholders and participants to monitor their progress and ensure each person’s deliverables are completed on time, within budget and scope.

Core Responsibilities:

Project management

Manage each project's scope and timeline to meet all deadlines and deliverables

Work with stake owners to handle backlog and new requests. Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles as they arise.

Create a productive environment where team members feel ownership of their work and the outcomes

Track the progress of current projects by engaging in regular follow-ups with stakeholders and participants

Log project information in SharePoint, Clickup, and any other internal systems

Coordination

Ensure all Scrum events take place and are positive, productive and kept within the timebox

Coordinate sprints, retrospective meetings and daily stand-ups. Help teams implement changes effectively.

Attend major stakeholder meetings, taking notes and creating Clickup tasks, deadlines, and assignments as appropriate to ensure deliverables are properly tracked.

Lead

Coach team members as questions or issues come up. Coach the team in self-management and cross-functionality for higher scrum maturity.

Present progress information to Corp. Dev. management and company ownership

Organize and improve existing systems and resources such as Sharepoint or Clickup

Build out Corp. Dev. infrastructure and resources

Example Projects:

Supporting the opening of a Clinical Lab

Developing organized and functional company wiki and resources

Support the revision and rollout of employee training and development

Required Qualifications:

2 - 5+ years of experience in project management

Experience working in a remote environment

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field

Strong training, mentoring and coaching skills

Advanced skillset in time management and task prioritization

Passion for managing teams and organization

Ability to multitask and identify opportunities for process improvement

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a fast-paced startup environment

PMP or Scrum Master Certifications

Advanced knowledge of Scrum practices, Click-up and/or Sharepoint

Job Status: Full-Time

Travel: None

Salary: $67,000 - $100,000 (starting rate depends on experience)
