Position Title: Operations Officer II
Location: Markham, Ontario
Pay Rate: $22/hour
Start Date: June 17th, 2024
Contract Duration: 6 months
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Type: Hybrid (2 or 3 days on site)
SUMMARY OF DAY TO DAY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Managing queues, sending out documents and checking documents to meet banking compliance standards, attend team meetings
Description:
The Business Signing Officer:
Opens new commercial deposit accounts
Processes account change requests for existing commercial deposit accounts (i.e. change in signing authority)
Opens additional accounts for existing customers via Letter Of Direction
Obtain/compile required supporting documentation
Follows AML, regulatory & legal compliance requirements
Job Requirements
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, high volume environment
Ensure Service Level Agreements are adhered to at all times
Ability to work efficiently to meet individual and team driven benchmarks
Be conscientious and detail oriented in order to mitigate any risk to the bank
Ability to review and understand complex legal documents
Demonstrate a sense of urgency and commitment to provide quality customer service
Must demonstrate the ability to be resourceful and proactive in their approach to Partner and Customer Problem Resolution
Strong oral and written communication skills are essential
Ability to work closely in a team environment
Understand and apply operating policies and procedures
Ability to take ownership of a situation
Ability to quickly learn new systems and applications
Customer service experience considered an asset
MUST HAVE:
1. Fast-paced, multitasking, work well under pressure
2. Basic understanding of AML Compliance
3. Computer Savvy – MS Suites Excel: basic understanding
4. Typing speed min 60-65 wpm
5. Previous admin work/ previous Ops officer work – 2+ years
6. Strong oral and written communication skills
NICE TO HAVE:
1. Banking Experience/ Previous financial institution
2. Knowledge of Host applications and C3 considered an asset
3. Bilingual – French
EDUCATION: high school required. post-secondary would be an asset. 2+ years’ experience.
