FULL-TIME – 18-Month Contract

TORONTO/HYBRID

The Job!

Reporting to the VP of Public and Member Relations, you areinstrumental to ensuring smooth operations in the department. You will:

Develop and implement a variety of targeted strategies to enhance the organization’s brand.

Provide insight and advice on managing crises/issues and how to protect the brand.

Align departmental materials with the brand and approved strategies.

Track the performance of PR/Marketing campaigns and activities.

Advise on the organization’s position in the market and against competitors.

Collaborate with the PR/Communications team and develop strong collaborative relationships.

Ensure consistency and accuracy across communications materials with oversight of copy writing and editing.

Manage content for social media, events, and meetings including speeches, presentations, scripts, etc.

Prepare and assess marketing plans, as well as track and report on outcomes and recommendations.

Ensure smooth and effective processes across the department, identifying any concerns or potential delays.

Track and manage budgets for the department’s campaigns and activities.

Other tasks as required.

What you bring to the job!

You are a strong storyteller with innovative ideas in marketing, communications, and public relations. You are assertive,confident, and highly organized. You thrive in a collaborative space and show great leadership potential. You also come with:

A university degree in business marketing, public relations, or a related field

3-7 years of experience in public relations, communications, and marketing

Agency experience with understanding of a corporate environment

Strong project management skills and sense of urgency

High quality research skills and understanding of business objectives

Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral

Skilled at building relationships with internal and external contacts

Able to identify and resolve problems with creative and innovative thinking

Great ability and interest in continuous learning
