Inova Oakville Surgery Center located at 400 Fannon St. Alexandria VA, is currently hiring PRN experienced Operating Room Registered Nurses (RN) to become integral members of our team, delivering unparalleled care to our patients. The ideal candidates will bring expertise in one or more of the following specialties: General surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT), Gastrointestinal (GI), and Robotics. ABOUT US:

The Inova Oakville Ambulatory Surgery Center, situated in the Potomac Yards area of Alexandria, is nearing completion in its construction phase. This cutting-edge facility will be a cornerstone of the newly established Inova medical campus, scheduled for inauguration in mid-2024.

Boasting state-of-the-art infrastructure, the center will feature three (3) Operating Rooms, (3) Procedure/GI Suites, and 12 PreOp/PACU bays, all geared towards delivering top-tier medical services to our community.

WORK SCHEDULE:

Monday-Friday

Day shift only, no nights, weekends, call, or holidays

5 x 8s (0700-1530)

4 x 10s (0630-1700, varied days off)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Scrub/Circulate surgical procedures including GI/Endo

Providing communication between team members in the surgical field and persons outside the operating room

Maintaining sterile environment during the surgical procedure

Conducting and documenting sponge/sharps and instrument counts as required during the surgical procedure

Completing intra-operative documentation of the procedure

Acting as the patient’s advocate during patient's stay in the operating room

Assisting with room turnover, including disposal of trash and linen, cleaning of OR table and floor, assembly and opening of sterile supplies JOB REQUIREMENTS:

One year operating room nursing experience is required

Two or more years of scrub and circulating experience is highly desired

Experience with robotic surgery is a plus

RN Graduate from an accredited nursing institution, BSN preferred

Current RN license in the state of Virginia

BLS Certification required
