Licensed Mental Health Therapist - WISe

Excelsior Wellness Center, a subsidiary of Excelsior Wellness, serves a broad and diverse base of individuals and families with the primary aim of identifying goals and making positive steps toward accomplishing them. In our community, we are advocates and hold fast to the belief that children and families have the potential to be safer, stronger, and more satisfied in the lives they lead.

We are seeking a Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our Wraparound with Intensive Services (WISe) program, a community-based model providing tailored support to youth and families, ensuring their success within their homes and communities. WISe offers comprehensive behavioral healthcare services and assistance to Medicaid-eligible individuals aged 21 or younger and their families with complex emotional and mental health needs.

The WISe therapist plays a crucial role in providing direct clinical care and support to enrolled clients, closely collaborating with them to alleviate the impact of mental health symptoms, enhance resilience, and facilitate recovery. Therapists aim to ensure the safety of youth, promote their engagement in school, and guide them toward mental wellness, aligning with the mission of WISe to promote holistic mental health for youth and families. This involves creating individualized treatment plans, conducting skill-building sessions and family therapy, offering crisis intervention when necessary, and collaborating with community resources to provide comprehensive support. Additionally, the WISe therapist actively contributes to program evaluation, staff training, and ongoing quality improvement efforts to optimize the delivery of WISe services.

Our program adopts an innovative and collaborative approach to mental health services. We prioritize fostering an environment of compassion, understanding, and support for our clients. The ideal candidate is a passionate mental health therapist possessing excellent communication skills and empathy while demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to continuous learning and cultural sensitivity for children with serious and persistent mental health diagnoses.
