We currently have a client in Waterloo, IA looking for an Operating Room RN(OR RN) !

Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.

Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary/Travel/Contract)

Shift: 3x12 Days

Job staffing in all 50 statesCandidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of operating procedures and patient safety. Requirements:

Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)

Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques

Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions

In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures

Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns

Monitor patients vital signs to detect anomalies

Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned

Evaluate patient in postoperative phases

Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operationWork Experience: At least 2 years of OR experience
