Consultant - Adult Psychiatry - Essex

Pulse Psychiatry is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Consultant Psychiatrist with expertise in Adult Psychiatry for a part-time position based in Romford, Essex in an NHS inpatient setting. Responsibilities:

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis:

Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adult patients.

Provide accurate diagnoses based on thorough evaluations.

Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.

Treatment Planning and Implementation:

Design and oversee individualized treatment plans for patients.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care.

Monitor and adjust treatment strategies as needed.

Patient Care and Support:

Deliver high-quality psychiatric care to adult patients.

Offer counseling and support to individuals and their families.

Participate in crisis intervention and management when necessary.

Collaboration and Communication:

Work closely with other healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses.

Maintain clear and effective communication with colleagues, patients, and their families.

Attend and contribute to clinical meetings and case reviews.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with regulatory standards.

Complete required documentation in a timely manner.

Professional Development:

Stay abreast of advancements in psychiatry and relevant therapeutic interventions.

Engage in continuous professional development and training.

Requirements:

Medical Qualification: MBBS or equivalent.

Psychiatric Qualification: CCT in Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.

License: Full GMC registration and license to practice.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience in Adult Psychiatry.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing work environments and patient needs.
