Cafe Manager

The Coffee Fox is looking for a dedicated leader who is focused on coaching and team building to fill the role of Cafe Manager. The Coffee Fox is located in Savannah’s bustling downtown and has become a fixture on Broughton by providing exceptional specialty coffee and fresh baked goods from Henny Penny Cafe and Auspicious Bakery.

The Cafe Manager, through administrative as well as on-the-floor involvement, serves as the leader of this FOH/Coffee focused team. As a leader in the space, the Cafe Manager is expected to participate in regular coaching and give guided feedback to aid in the professional growth of all employees while maintaining our café standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages FOH personnel through coaching and when necessary exercising disciplinary action.

Works 3-4 shifts on the floor with 1-2 days of admin (35-40 hours/week) Pay is $16/hour plus $8 - $10 added per hour through a pooled tip rate.

Through ServSafe certification, enforces sanitary practices for food handling, general cleanliness, and maintenance of service and dining areas.

Responsible for ensuring a consistent high quality of food/beverage preparation and customer service.

Responsible for writing the staff work schedule.

Ensure that the Shift Leads are satisfying all aspects of their job descriptions, paying special attention to their management of human and fiscal resources.

Responsible for maintaining an industry standard labor percentage.

Run errands to obtain necessary supplies and act as main point of contact for inter-café issues/procedural hiccups.
