Job Summary

Institutionalize philosophy of “Zero customer compliant” & “First time right”.

Promote and maintain ISO 9001, IATF 16949 and ISO 14001 guidelines throughout company departments.

Reinforce the belief by constant awareness programs, carrying out workshops and small group improvement activities (Kaizen).

Provide leadership to implement the adopted philosophy.

Track and monitor Quality targets v/s actuals. (both internal and external metrics), Identify high impact areas and work on quality improvement.

Understand customer specific requirements and disseminate to team members.

Drive Quality culture thro’ the organization and shift thinking from defect detection to defect prevention.

Quality Planning for new programs, understand customer specific requirements and disseminate to team members, drive PFMEAs execution and ensure mitigation plans are in place for flawless launch.

Develop effective control plans for robust process controls and maintain inspection records as per required retention.

Departmental budget preparation and support for cost reduction projects YOY

Main Responsibilities :

Excellent knowledge of Quality assurance Function people planning, development, review & support.

Plant Quality Review for Quality Culture building for below areas.

Customer Quality Complaints (Receipt, Line & Warranty) Analysis and actions for improvements

Development Quality - Initial flow control, inspection & testing of parts and gauges, APQP & PPAP Approval, preparation, Gap analysis and Action Plan.

Product Quality - Revalidation of the running products & Gauge Calibration for 4M control & Gap analysis and actions for improvements.

Process Quality - DWM through adherence to process inspection plan, Control Plan Audit, SPC & 4M.

Change Management Gap analysis and Action Plan.

Problem Solving Finding root cause scientifically & driving CAPA with in-depth understanding.

Knowledge on IMS (IATF, ISO 14000, ISO 45001, etc.)

Knowledge on Quality Core Tools (PFMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP, APQP)

Problem Solving Finding root cause scientifically & driving CAPA with in-depth understanding and ability to resolve technical issues with speed.

Audit skills (Product, Process & Quality System)

Accountable for implementing Quality Systems in the organization with target of zero defect.

Conduct audits and escalate high impact issues immediately for containment and track other open issues till closure.

Participate in Quality planning of new programs, monitoring of Quality metrics during regular production and addressing customer complaints.

Have a vision of developing world class quality systems in the plant\

Qualifications:

Product & Process knowledge of Stamping, Plating & Molding

Specialization in Six Sigma, Problem solving tools.

DME (Mechanical or Automobile) 12-15 yrs / BE (Mechanical or Automobile) - 10-12 yrs

Confident in communicating with higher management and customer senior leadership.
