Alkye Services is expanding its technical team and is seeking a dedicated Cloud Engineer with a specialization in Google Cloud Platform (GCP). As part of our commitment to innovation and excellence, we aim to leverage cutting-edge cloud technologies to enhance our infrastructure and services.

Job Responsibilities:

Design and manage cloud-based infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform services such as Compute Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Cloud Run.

Set up and maintain servers to ensure efficient and continuous operation of our applications and services.

Modify resources of instances such as CPU, RAM, or Disk as needed to meet user requirements.

Implement and oversee continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline development and deployment processes.

Schedule and monitor backups of instances and their volumes in accordance with organizational policies; configure backups for RDS and other services.

Monitor and troubleshoot OS-related issues and network-related problems.

Manage access controls and patch management for all servers as per organizational policy.

Create and maintain network configurations such as VPCs, security groups, firewall rules, routing tables, and load balancers.

Monitor and manage virtual network gateways and other cloud resources/services.

Optimize cloud resource usage and costs to ensure efficient operation without compromising on performance.

Implement storage solutions, including block volumes or file storage, and manage their expansion and backup/restoration processes.

Implement and manage identity and access management (IAM) solutions, including user/group creation and role assignment, integrating cloud services with existing identity services.

We Believe You Bring (Education & Experience):

Proven experience in cloud engineering, particularly with Google Cloud Platform, including hands-on experience with Compute Engine, GKE, and Cloud Run.

Strong knowledge of networking principles and experience in cloud networking.

Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, and a solid understanding of automation and orchestration within the cloud.

Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.

Solid understanding of containerization technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

Skill in monitoring and logging tools specific to Google Cloud and other related technologies.

Ability to analyze and optimize costs associated with cloud resources and services.

Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash, which are relevant for automation and infrastructure management.

Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years' experience in a cloud engineering role with a significant focus on Google Cloud Platform.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; relevant certifications in Google Cloud are highly preferred.
