Network Operations Center Engineers

Smartbridge is a US based IT and consulting Company with its offshore operations Centre in Hyderabad since 2003.

We are looking to recruit 14 NOC engineers, also known as Network Operations Center Engineers to work in our new office in Visakhapatnam starting July 2024.

The NOC Engineers monitor and control large computer networks of our client from a central location. These skilled IT professionals are responsible for network troubleshooting, various equipment, communication equipment in various units remotely and alarm response.

In this role, the candidate will be responsible for monitoring the performance and capacity of client computer systems, unit equipment’s, troubleshooting problems, and responding to network issues etc. You may also be required to configure system hardware and manage system back-ups remotely if required.

To ensure success as an NOC engineer, the candidate should demonstrate advanced knowledge of network deployment and infrastructure, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work flexible hours 24 x 7 in shifts. A skilled NOC Engineer will be able to diagnose and resolve various network and equipment issues without causing extended downtime of the systems.

NOC Engineer Responsibilities:

· Deploying and inspecting IT network systems.

· Overseeing the safe installation of hardware and cabling systems.

· Monitoring the performance and capacity of various systems.

· Performing regular checks on hardware and software.

· Responding to alerts and hardware malfunctions.

· Diagnosing and troubleshooting errors.

· Tracking and documenting issues and compiling incident reports.

· Responding to user requests and providing training.

· Managing system backups and security protocols meeting SLA’s.

NOC Engineer Requirements:

· Bachelor’s / Masters degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a similar field.

· Junior NOC Engineer : 2 years experience working preferably as an NOC engineer.

Senior NOC Engineer : 4 to 5 years experience

· Experience in deploying, managing, and troubleshooting network infrastructures.

· Knowledge of hardware systems.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills.

· Ability to work in flexible hours.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Advanced Project Management Skills.

· Ability to work well under pressure.
