Responsibilities:

Create novel ways to apply skills learned during testing or from application feedback to benefit the company and our products.

Designing and developing electronic systems and components for use in vehicles like controllers, instrument cluster, sensors, digital/analogue fuel gauge etc.

Benchmarking competitor EV battery packs (stacks) and other electrical/electronic EV components and interacting with the Hardware design team to optimize the design.

Selecting electrical components that would enable proper and optimum operation of vehicle and the battery pack.

Designing the SOP for electronics installation, fault identification and analysis(independently and with used within the assigned system).

Training the on-site service personnel to operate the OBD (On Board Diagnostic) system and repair/replace the damaged components.

End to end testing of the battery system in sync with the electronics and record the data for further optimization and modification.

Logic development and selection of auxiliaries required for the battery system.

Design and fabricate test equipment for the required mechanical, thermal, and electrical systems, EV vehicle test bench.

Ensure test results are documented in a clear, concise, and timely manner

Working with the battery and hardware design teams to improve and optimize the performance of the implemented battery system performance.

Perform the plant modelling, model-based design (MBD) and testing (HiL/MiL) of the EV battery system.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during testing and/or during production.

Interacting with the certification team (ICAT, ARAI etc) in defining/performing the testing standards for battery systems for EV.

What you’ll need :

Relevant experience in Coding, Reliability Testing, JMP software knowledge, DOE process optimization, Quality management, benchmarking, characterization, and validation of Electric Vehicles.

Experience of setting up experiments to achieve desired testing results.

A strong understanding of Li-ion battery and/or other battery chemistry systems used in Electric Vehicles

Knowledge and/or relevant experience in high power DC-DC Converters, Inverters, and motor drives.

Knowledge of AC and DC industrial motors (like PMSM. BLDC, induction) and drives.

Must have experience in EMI and EMC testing.

Testing experience for Indian electrical standards on BMS, DC-DC converter and safety (ex.: IS5216, IS-5571, IS 7788, IS-62368).

Good understanding of V-cycle, functional safety, automotive standards and Regulations Hands-on experience of Model Based Development (MBD), Hardware-in-Loop (HIL), Model-in-Loop (MIL) and Software-in-Loop(SIL) testing using software like MATLAB. Experience in instrumentation, integration, and calibration of sensors.

Experience of data acquisition systems, analysing and managing test data from large data sets.

Excellent communication skills and team-oriented attitude Comfortable with initiating and taking ownership of projects.

Experience of using various communication protocols (CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI, UART etc.)

Experience in PCB designing on Electrical CAD(Altium preferred not compulsory).

Embedded level programming skills in 32-bit ARM processor core (preferable)
