Description:

Overview:

LAGUNA NIGUEL, CA (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY) - A loving family in Laguna Niguel, CA, is seeking a compassionate and supportive FULL-TIME LONG-TERM NANNY to care for their 5-year-old son with spastic quad cerebral palsy and global delays. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5 pm. Their son attends school from 9 am to 2 pm, and the nanny will accompany him to his small, private school nearby, providing attentive support and care throughout the school day. Post-school hours will involve engaging activities at home such as playtime or walks.

Their son is a resilient and affectionate child who faces challenges due to his disability. He relies on a wheelchair as he cannot walk or sit up unaided, and though non-verbal, he is learning to communicate with an eye-gaze device. He diligently attends physical therapy, speech therapy, and occupational therapy both at school and at home and works very hard to learn new skills. He enjoys watching Daniel Tiger on his iPad.

The family seeks an individual who is kind, dependable, attentive, and detail-oriented. Given their son's needs, complete support is essential for his participation in activities and safety within his environment. The nanny will also be responsible for light housekeeping pertaining to their son, meal preparation, transferring him from the chair, diaper changing, and assisting with his feeding tube.

Extensive training will be provided before the nanny assumes full responsibility. While prior experience with children with physical disabilities is preferred, the family is open to candidates who demonstrate genuine care, diligence, and a willingness to learn.

The start date is ASAP! Pay is $30-32/hr gross via payroll, with benefits including 10 days PTO, 5 paid sick days, and paid federal holidays off.
