Fiber/Cable Installer

Physical Infrastructure Specialist (Cable Tech) Locations - Dahlgren, VA Clearance - Interim Secret (We can process a clearance if you don't already hold one) Looking for 1-4+ yrs experience Certifications - BICSI a plus Installer essential functions will include: Performs fusion splicing and cable terminations using 3M Hot Melts and Corning UniCam Fiber Optic Connectors.

Provides assistance in building telecommunication rooms while adhering to applicable standards and specifications Performs testing and troubleshooting of structured cabling systems which include Entrance Facilities, Equipment Rooms, Backbone Cabling, Telecommunications Room, Horizontal Cabling and Work Area’s Ensures transmission fundamentals of copper and fiber media are maintained Installs, tests and labels surface or wall mount networking outlets, for both types of media (Copper and/or Fiber) Documents configuration changes and provides to the Installation Team Lead for incorporation into the Communications Diagrams Installation of Cable Support Systems, which include Conduits, Cable Tray and Vertical raceway Positions requires a high school diploma or equivalent and up to two (0-2) years' experience.
