WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN THIS POSITION We are currently recruiting a :INSTRUMENT & CONTROLS ENGINEER+(see spec's)for a World Class Manufacturing firm in KANSAS.,this position is of interest to you or if you might know someone please contact John Wilson,The Tidewater Group,727-441-1305ex202 or email a current resume to Instrument and Controls Engineer SUMMARY Responsible for instrumentation, electrical and controls portions of capital projects including: requirements documentation, detailed design generation, purchasing, implementation, system integration, testing and startup.

Creatively solve engineering problems within budget and time constraints.

Provide instrumentation and controls engineering support for maintenance and operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES · Participate in the development of process control and information management strategies.

· Evaluate all aspects of engineering to ensure that all project objectives including safety, technical correctness, constructability, schedule, maintainability and operability are met.

· Provide field support and participate in check out, commissioning and start up of new projects.

· Maintain the existing control systems and programmable logic controllers.

· Provide estimates for the control system and instrumentation portion of capital projects.

· Develop and maintain the interlock and alarm documentation associated with the control system.

· Assist in the development of long term planning for the control system: future upgrades and capacity expansion.

· Maintain knowledge of process manufacturing field instrumentation.

· Develop and maintain instrument specifications.

· Assist Maintenance and Operations in troubleshooting instrumentation and control system problems.

· Provide technical assistance for Instrument and Electrical technicians.

· Maintain and update electrical classification drawings.

· Participate in the development, acquisition and documentation of PSM (ie.

Electrical classification, safety interlocks, alarms). · Actively participate in PSM activities (PSSR, PHA, P&ID, MOC) · Participate in the implementation of process improvement projects.

· Have comprehensive knowledge of basic engineering concepts and their applications.

Develop and expand areas of technical expertise.

· Actively participate in the Safety Program including near miss reporting · Protect confidential and proprietary information from inadvertent disclosure.

· Perform other duties as required to meet the needs of the business and ensure customer satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor or Master's degree (BS/MS) in Electrical Engineering from four-year college or university, 5 years relevant experience.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS Demonstrated leadership ability and problem solving skills; excellent oral and written communication skills; organization and time management skills to prioritize job demands and delegate where appropriate; ability to utilize external technical expertise where appropriate.
