Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Senior Quantity Surveyor (MEP)** to join our team! In this role you will get to **oversee all quantity surveying activities related to the construction of the new Opera House.**
**What You'll Be Doing:**
+ Prepare cost estimates and evaluating tender documents.
+ Conduct feasibility studies focusing on MEP works.
+ Liaise with the team to ensure prompt submittal and completeness of BOQ and Estimates are accurate and ensure quality standard are maintained.
+ Advise the QS/Estimator's on measurement procedures and calculation of interim and final quantities.
+ Evaluate the unit rates for new work items and present to the estimating manager for review with supporting documents.
+ Analyze construction drawings and specifications to accurately estimate quantities of materials and labor required for each project phase.
+ Collaborate with project stakeholders to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
+ Manage subcontractor contracts, prepare progress reports, and handle variations and claims.
+ Reviewing of the submitted Invoices by the Contractor with attention to detail.
+ Play a crucial role in cost control and financial management throughout the project lifecycle.
+ Participate in all commercial/Estimation presentation and meetings with Client.
+ Any other task associated with the role.
**What Required Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field from a recognized university / institution.
+ At least 10 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying in MEP and a minimum of 3 years experience in GCC (KSA experience ideally).
+ Proven track record of managing quantity surveying aspects for MEP engineering projects, including cost estimation, tendering, contract administration, and cost control.
+ Experience in both pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying duties.
+ Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools, such as CostX, Revit or similar.
+ Experience in preparing, negotiating, and administering contracts, including change orders and claims management.
**What Desired Skills You'll Bring:**
+ Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
+ Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English is preferred.
+ Professional Membership of MRICS is preferable.
