Summary of Responsibilities

IREX’s Transform Digital Spaces (Transform) Program seeks a qualified consultant to review, refine, and standardize twelve (12) training modules for Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) around analyzing, combating, mitigating, and countering Technology-Facilitated Gender Based Violence (TFGBV) as it manifests against women in politics and public life. These modules will be delivered through trainings for CSO representatives in multiple pilot locations around the globe.

Please note this position is part-time and based on the needs of the project, with an expected engagement of 30-60 days of effort distributed across June, July, and August 2024. The chosen consultant will work remotely; no travel will be required or offered.

Your Anticipated Tasks

The consultancy will perform the following tasks, working with the Transform Program Technical Advisor:

Rapidly review and identify gaps in twelve (12) modules on analyzing, combating, mitigating, and countering TFGBV against women in politics and public life.

Address identified gaps by researching and adapting/modifying existing resources to fit the needs of the program and by developing additional resources where they are lacking.

Cross-check and edit the modules to ensure that content is comprehensive, synergistic, and non-contradictory, and adequately addresses the objectives of the competency curriculum.

Provide additions and edits where necessary to ensure that all modules adequately address the unique impacts and considerations of TFGBV against women in politics and public life.

Create lists of existing external resources and tools for each module that participants could use to further explore each topic.

Standardize the curriculum into a polished draft ready for professional design.

Conduct a trial workshop delivering the content of the training materials for the Transform team and incorporate feedback and recommendations into the final product. Deliverables

Deliverable 1: List of module by module and overall curriculum needs and gaps to be addressed throughout the consultancy (end of week 1).

Deliverable 2: Drafts of revisions to each of the twelve (12) modules addressing the gaps, additions, and corrections needed (end of week 5).

Deliverable 3: A trial workshop to collect final feedback and recommendations for revision (week 6).

Deliverable 4: Final drafts of revised modules, responding to feedback and comments given by the Transform team and other implementing partners (week 8).

Note: (weekly target timelines are tentative and are to be adjusted). Your Background & Skills

Bachelor’s degree in gender or women’s studies, international development, international relations, social science, or another relevant field; advanced degree preferred.

Technical knowledge and expertise in gender equality and social inclusion.

Technical knowledge and expertise in using tech tools for monitoring threats to gender equality in digital spaces.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in localizing content.

Demonstrated advanced knowledge and experience in developing training modules/curricula, training materials, etc.

Demonstrated experience and skills in facilitating stakeholder/working group consultations and training.

Relevant regional and international experience will be an added advantage.

Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills in English.
