Responsibilities:
Under the direct supervision of the Senior Director of Operations, the Physician Practice Coordinator oversees/facilitates the daily operations of low volume specialty practices that do not require a practice manager. The Physician Practice Coordinator works closely with the Sr. Director to set goals and implement processes to improve office operations. The Physician Practice Coordinator is responsible for managing day to day operational needs including: staffing, A/R, A/P, front office and patient flow. The Physician Practice Coordinator supervises the administrative support staff, medical assistants, and is a resource for the physician and mid-level practitioner staff. The Physician Practice Coordinator will continuously review existing practice operations with a view towards enhancing quality, efficiency, innovation, patient satisfaction, and cost reduction. The Physician Practice Coordinator also handles report preparation and analysis of physician practices for the Sr. Director, serves as an Epic COE super user and a trainer for all practice management systems.
Qualifications:
Education and Work Experience:
Must possess a high school diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 3 years of related Physician Practice Experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel
Microsoft Outlook
Epic (if applicable to position)
Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees.
Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
Must be able to accurately type 40 words per minute
