Geosyntec has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Professional Engineer – Construction Management and Delivery to help grow our engineering and construction practices from one of our offices in Acton, MA, Bedford, NH, Hamilton, MA, Pennington, NJ or with the ability to work fully remote from your home-office in the New England area. This position is well-suited for a talented, highly experienced individual who is interested in being a leader and contributing to innovative and challenging projects, including the financial and technical evaluation, design, permitting, and construction stages. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Collaborate with colleagues nationally to identify and capture projects meeting the strategic vision of the company and practice, typically focused on enviro-civil construction projects;

Direct Construction Management at risk projects to a successful outcome through coordination with Clients, Project Managers, field personnel and other project stakeholders;

Have a thorough understanding of general civil construction processes and apply them to project specific scopes of work framed in environmentally focused civil projects, including heavy equipment operations, decommissioning and demolition, soil excavation and management, piping system installation, concrete, electrical and mechanical systems installation, stormwater management, and various remediation technologies; and

Implement and abide by the policies and procedures outlined in the site-specific project health and safety plans (HASP) and the company’s Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Education and Licensure:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or geology (civil, chemical, environmental, or hydrogeology preferred). (required)

Advanced degree in the same. (preferred)

Professional certification (P.E.). (required)

Skills, Experience and Qualifications:

At least 8 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (required)

Detailed understanding of soil and groundwater remediation regulations. (required)

Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams. (required)

Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients. (required)

Proven leadership skills. (required)

Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed. (required)

Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers. (preferred)

Fieldwork and overnight travel may be required.

Health & Safety training, medical monitoring, and client-driven drug and background testing may be required.

Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
