Responsibilities:

Position Summary:

Manage the Inventory control processes for the facility including physical counts. Ensures adequate levels of material and/or product inventories are maintained. Responsible for evaluating inventory needs and implementing strategies to meet those needs.

Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:

Develops and implements inventory control procedures to include cycle counting and reporting guidelines, problem identification and resolution, and inventory control process improvements

Count and reconcile the physical inventory on a daily basis; make system adjustments as necessary; includes daily cycle counts and full weekly inventory

Ensure that product is rotated on the FIFO basis; including establishing procedures for incoming/outgoing product so that proper rotation is followed

Maintain accurate records to facilitate shortage detection

Prepare reports including inventory analysis and shrinkage

Serve as key contributor in the area of inventory optimization

Independently evaluates data on production needs and inventory to ensure adequate inventory in accord with inventory cycles and organizational needs

Prepare and implement logical organization (slotting) of warehouse products to ensure successful operations

Work with procurement to improve the total supply chain process

Other projects or duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Skills and Experience:

BS in Accounting or Business Management, or equivalent

Must have 5+ years’ experience in inventory management, distribution/logistics/direct store delivery (experience in the beverage industry preferred)

Ability to work flexible hours as required, including weekends and holidays

Computer skills, including Microsoft office

Attention to detail and accuracy to deal effectively with multiple databases and large volumes of data

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Excellent time management, organization and prioritization skills

Interpersonal, teamwork and relationship building skills to work effectively and make contributions to improvement recommendations in a team environment

Excellent ability to manage competing demands, changes or delays

Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills to analyze feedback and troubleshoot deficiencies and make changes to rectify issues within short time lines

Preferred Skills and Experience:

Familiarity with process improvement techniques preferred, including lean processes, space planning, process mapping, project management and Six Sigma
