Overview:

Master Halco, North America’s leading manufacturer/distributor of fencing and perimeter security products is seeking an experienced Warehouse / Yard Manager at our Kent, WA branch office.

This position will be accountable for:

All daily operations, operations staff, inventory, and facility equipment care

Lead and manage all operational aspects of the branch

Work in conjunction with the Branch Manager and sales associates to ensure customer satisfaction

Responsibilities:

Lead and assign the daily activities of the branch operations team

Interview, hire, and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work

Complete and account for payroll timekeeping, approves PTO for direct reports

Support operations teams in their daily duties hands on as needed

Interact with dedicated fleet providers, trucking companies and temp agencies

Work with outside companies for facility or equipment repairs

Use the company WMS system to complete operational transactions such as pick lists, delivery notes, PO/DO receiving, cycle counts, scrap, work order processing as well as other various other tasks

Manage inventory accuracy, cycle count plan completion and inventory accuracy

Administer safety program and forklift certifications

Daily forklift inspection report for all forklifts

Manage gate shop workflow, production, quality control and associated paperwork.

Provide strong leadership and a positive work environment

Work with branch sales team and branch manager to ensure customer satisfaction and timely order fulfillment

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a warehouse operations managerial role.

Working knowledge of warehouse/yard/delivery operations.

Minimum of 1 year driving forklift / warehouse equipment

Demonstrated leadership abilities, positive mental attitude, sense of urgency, strong customer service orientation

Strong interpersonal and communications skills (verbal & written)

Willingness and ability to pursue higher education and continuous improvement

Excellent Inventory Management skills

Proficient in a WMS system, MS Office Programs, and other internet-based programs
