The Compliance Specialist I is a member of the Legal Compliance team responsible for following defined procedures associated to one of the following areas: the review and answering of diligence findings; responding to questions that come through via Salesforce help box cases; or testing technical changes associated to implementation projects. This role involves working with our Operations, Secondary, Sales, and Risk teams to help Identify and mitigate risk. The Compliance Specialist I is an integral part of the Compliance Management System (CMS) as they serve to execute and assist in the execution of our compliance program’s controls.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Address requests that come through the Compliance Helpbox within SLA to ensure timely resolution and elite client service

Escalating help box requests as needed to the appropriate team member(s) to ensure proper review and response

Review, communicate, and distribute CR requests to ensure 100% client satisfaction

Able to respond to compliance findings from third party due diligence companies

Able to upload necessary documentation to third party due diligence companies in response to compliance findings that are noted

Working with the Implementation Team to troubleshoot technical issues and test implementations

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:

Must Have Qualifications:

At least 1 year Mortgage experience is required

Communicates effectively verbally, non-verbally, and possesses strong technical skills

Demonstrated advanced use of MS Office software features and techniques

This position requires on-site attendance at our headquarters in Pontiac, MI.

Nice to Have Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience preferred
