Position Overview
The Business Operations Analyst acts as an internal business operations consultant, evaluating, documenting, redesigning and implementing processes and methodologies across the business in areas of need. Additional responsibilities include support of senior leadership on special projects where necessary, particularly in requirements gathering and gap analysis.
The ideal candidate will have a few years of experience in a collaborative, project-oriented environment, demonstrating success in independently defining and completing deliverables by timelines and in support of broader strategic objectives. Candidate should be a “self-starter” and creative enough to investigate and analyze abstract problems to determine and implement solutions that effectively meet stakeholder needs.
This position plays an important role in meeting our continued improvement objectives and requires a cross functional skillset to be effective.
Core Responsibilities:
Evaluating opportunities for improvement and defining best practices to problems that may involve personnel, technical (system), and process components
Documenting existing business practices and training materials, recommending optimization improvements, and presenting potential solutions to stakeholders
Conducting thorough, objective data analysis to facilitate informed decision-making at all levels of the organization
Evaluating, enhancing, and troubleshooting business tools, reports, and systems-based processes
Supporting business functions in adoption of standardized processes, systems, and optimizations

Qualifications
RequiredBS in Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or similar analytical degree
1-3 years of relevant professional experience
Advanced in Microsoft Excel or proficient in at least one programming language
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Work, PowerPoint, Visio)
Customer facing experience and cross-functional interaction
Ability to work with other professionals, within and outside of the company in a professional and respectful manner
Experience with developing and managing project plans, roadmaps, and budgets
Preferred
Experience in defense industry or consulting background
Experience working with ERP systems, strong preference for Oracle Fusion
Experience utilizing data visualization/reporting tools to develop reports and run analysis, (OTBI, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
Familiarity with debugging in general-purpose programming languages and/or experience with database querying methodologies
Familiarity with Microsoft Teams, Power Platform, and Dynamics 365
Familiarity with User Experience and/or User Interface design concepts
Familiarity with Scheduling/Planning software and tools (Oracle Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, etc.)
