Details * Communications Representative / Operator * Communication Representatives * Part Time Status * Night Shift * Pay: Starting at: $15.30 (day shift); $16.80 (evening shift); $17.30 (night shift) Summary * This position is responsible for intake of all inbound calls to the Mosaic Life Care main phone number, transferring calls, paging out messages to various Mosaic Life Care caregivers, and connecting caregivers to facilitate patient care.

This position uses multiple means of telecommunication to serve the customer in both emergent and non emergent situations.

This position greets the OB patient and works with OB caregivers to check in the OB patient.

They provide security check in for OB visitors, monitors and manages the entrance into the OB unit.

This position participates in data collection through log keeping and various process improvement activities as directed.

* This position works under the supervision of the Manager and is employed by Mosaic Health System.

Duties * Answers telephones.

Handles incoming and outgoing calls in an efficient, expedient manner.

Connects the the caller with proper destination based on request or interpretation of caller need.

Intake and communication of Shared Services telephone requests that require 24/7 service * Acts as communication liaison by utilizing multiple forms of telecommunication to connect and relay information to all Mosaic Life Care caregivers, patients and visitors.

* Performs correct procedure for contacting "on-call" caregivers to facilitate patient care.

* Notifies pharmacy/distribution of Code Blue Cart Exchange.

* Other duties as assigned Qualifications * H.S.

Diploma * Communicating with multiple forms of telecommunication Proficient in usage of medical terminology Excellent communication skills, and the ability to prioritize.

Experience as a secretary in a health care setting is preferred.

Minimum speed of 40 words per minute and computer literacy is preferred.
