CNC Mill Operator

MCM Staffing is currently looking for a CNC Mill Operator for our client in Detroit, MI.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 4pm-12:30am

Pay: $23+ based on experience

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled CNC Mill Operator. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in operating CNC milling machines and be proficient in reading technical drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Setup: Prepare and set up CNC milling machines for production runs.

Material Loading: Load raw materials into machines and secure them properly.

Tool Selection: Select appropriate cutting tools and adjust machine feeds and speeds for optimal results.

Quality Control: Monitor machine operations to ensure product quality and make necessary adjustments.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues with machines or programs to minimize downtime.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on CNC mills and keep work area clean and organized.

Documentation: Record production data, including dimensions and quantities produced.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a CNC Mill Operator or similar role.

Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.

Familiarity with precision measuring instruments.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical stamina and dexterity for manual tasks and standing for extended periods.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Vocational training or certification in CNC machining is a plus.

Previous experience in operating CNC milling machines.

Work Environment:

The CNC Mill Operator will work in a manufacturing environment, often standing for long periods and operating machinery. Personal protective equipment may be required.
