Line Mechanic/Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking a Line Mechanic/Machine Operator to join our team! You will maintain and repair industrial production and processing machinery.

Responsibilities:

Repair, install, and adjust industrial machinery and pipeline distribution systems

Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment

Perform routine preventative maintenance

Respond to work order requests in a timely fashion

Adhere to all safety policies and procedures

Qualifications:

Previous experience in machinery or other related fields

Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills

Familiarity with industrial tools and equipment

Ability to handle physical workload

General Characteristics:

Performs set-up, routine maintenance, adjustments: on fillers cappers, labelers, coders, and tape machines.

Typical Duties and Responsibilities Change setup, and adjust lines for various products.

Monitor lines as directed.

Diagnose machine malfunctions.

Makes necessary adjustments for fillers, cappers, labelers and tape machines.

Cleans and lubricates equipment and machinery.

Informs supervisors of parts and equipment used and needed for replacement.

Ensures proper torque fill and overall quality.

Responsible to meet production goals. Performs routine weekly maintenance such as greasing, oiling, changing belts.

Coordinates production startups, shutdowns, and change overs.

Assists in production as necessary.

Notifies supervisor concerning the need for major repairs.

Physical Duties:

Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach out with body arms and legs.

95% walking and standing.

Able to lift up to 50 lbs.Company Description
