The Shop Manager Position

The Shop Manager is responsible for overall management of the entire shop, including production and scheduling management, quality, logistics management, equipment and shop maintenance, and anything related to keeping our team running safely and efficiently. The Shop Manager works closely with established group leaders to ensure that daily and weekly activity aligns with overall Company priorities.

This position is directly responsible for the largest segment of our business operation and works closely with the Companys General Manager and other leaders to continue building on the culture and success that is the foundation of the Company. Collaboration and coordination with the Safety Manager, Quality Manager, Purchasing Manager, HR Manager, and others further ensures team success. The Shop Manager manages and mentors the Group leaders and the Maintenance Manager, in addition to mentoring our frontline team as well.

Developing a thorough understanding of the capability of the team, the various machines and groups, and our partners and subcontractors is critical to making Indiana Bridge successful.

Desired Experience, Skills, and Abilities for the Shop Manager Position

Prior experience managing fabrication, material handling, paint/finishing, and general shop management experience.

Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

Positive, Can Do attitude

Software & general technical proficiency
