Shifts Available:

Wednesday and Thursday, 7AM to 3PM and Saturday and Sunday 7AM to 7PM

Thursday and Friday 3 PM to 11 PM and Saturday and Sunday 7 PM to 7 AM.

$15 per hour

SAFETY OFFICER JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Safety Officer is responsible for patrolling the buildings and community to ensure the safety of all residents and staff. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and a valid driver's license. Candidates must have compassion, understanding, and patience when dealing with residents and families and must demonstrate an attitude of service to residents, family members, staff, and people from within the community. This is an excellent job for college students!

SAFETY OFFICER JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Patrols buildings and grounds of the campus, examining doors and windows to ensure that they are secure

Warns violators of rule infractions, such as loitering or carrying forbidden articles, and apprehends or expels persons engaging in suspicious or criminal acts

Inspects equipment and machinery to determine if tampering has occurred

Watches for and reports irregularities such as fire hazards, leaking water pipes, and security doors left unlocked

Observes departing personnel to guard against theft of company property

Sounds alarm or calls police or fire department by telephone in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons

Maintains required documentation/logs, such as inspection trips, property damage, unusual occurrences, and malfunctioning of machinery or equipment

Helps nursing staff and emergency crews as necessary

Helps residents and employees to and from their vehicles, when necessary

Relieves and/or lends assistance to receptionist when necessary

Performs other duties as assigned

SAFETY OFFICER JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma/GED

Excellent customer facing and telephone skills

Strong prioritization and organizational skills

Fluent English speaking/writing communication skills

Must be able to follow spoken and written instructions

Self starter

Self motivated

Able to walk moderate distances frequently throughout your work shift
