Basic Job Function

Coordinates moves performed for Hilldrup’s Workplace Solutions (commercial) accounts. Monitors moves maintaining direct contact with customers from the initiation of the order to its successful completion at the time of delivery. Responsible for assuring each customer is highly satisfied with their moving experience.

Position Scope

Frequent contact with other United Van Lines agents, account personnel, national account representatives, customers, Hilldrup operations staff, and salespersons to coordinate moves and serve as a resource/contact for the customer.

Significant Responsibilities and Essential Functions

1. Receives orders from account representatives and potential prospects (via phone, fax and e-mail).

2. Receives information from origin agent and/or works with destination agent.

3. Updates registrations with any changes after the initial registration is complete.

4. Monitors orders for crew information, updated scope, changes in dates, etc.

5. Check ETA’ and set up any required destination services.

6. Provides all of the above services an average of 70 moves per month.

7. Makes personal visits to accounts to establish and maintain close working relationships.

8. Prepares reports and correspondence as required by assigned national accounts.

9. Responsible for inquiries after hours for assigned accounts/customers.

10. Maintains pending file.

11. Identify exceptions or problems as they arise (be pro-active); act with initiative in order to anticipate and resolve problems, communicate with customer, management and service providers to identify solutions to any issues that surface.

12. Cross-train, demonstrate a willingness to improve and become proficient with handling various services offerings of third party logistics programs (i.e., intermodal, air cargo, LTL trucking and TL trucking).

Minimum Job Qualifications Required

· High school diploma or equivalent; undergraduate degree preferred;1-2 years customer service experience required.

· Must have a professional demeanor.

· Ability to effectively develop and maintain strong working relationships with and internal stakeholders/partners and customers;

· Ability to multi-task and to effectively manage changing priorities;
