Senior Fellow

International Relations and Policy Nonprofit

Washington, D.C. (Hybrid)

Salary: $150,000 to $175,000 per year, with some potential flexibility based on experience

Terrific Senior Fellow position with an international relations and policy nonprofit in the Washington, D.C. area. The Senior Fellow will focus on trilateral relations between the U.S., Europe, and Asia, conducting research and cultivating relationships with policymakers and experts in the Indo-Pacific region. This position will also be involved in fundraising and should be comfortable researching and securing funding opportunities. Candidates should have stellar research and writing skills, as well as the ability to form strong relationships with stakeholders. Qualified candidates should have approximately 10+ years of relevant policy experience related to Japan and/or Korea. Master's degree is required. This position is based in the Washington, D.C. area and operates on a hybrid schedule. The salary range for the Senior Fellow position is $150,000 to $175,000 per year, with some potential flexibility based on experience.

Responsibilities:

Expand the organization's work with Japan and Korea in areas related to NATO, economic security, and relationship building

Design and execute the annual trilateral forum between the U.S., Europe, and Japan

Contribute to research priorities

Plan and execute other forums related to the Indo-Pacific; participate in panel discussions, as required

Build relationships with policymakers in the U.S. and internationally

Identify potential areas for fundraising, secure funding and steward donors

Travel as needed

Qualifications:

Approximately 10+ years of relevant foreign policy experience

Master's degree required

Demonstrated track record of successfully publishing research work

Ability to fundraise and build strong relationships

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Experience with related European and Japanese foreign policy; exposure to Korea a plus

Bilingual in an Asian language is a plus

Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, as needed
