Staffing Plus is looking for a self-directed and reliable Custodial & Facilities Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be a motivated individual with a passion for maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

The Custodial & Facilities Specialist will earn between $19.00-$21.00 per hour, depending on experience.

DUTIES

The Custodial & Facilities Specialist duties will include maintaining cleanliness and orderliness throughout various areas, such as offices, cubicles, six conference rooms, ten restrooms, a fitness room, and shared areas. The Custodial & Facilities Specialist will perform various custodial tasks such as dusting, sweeping and mopping cement and tile floors, vacuuming all carpeted areas using a backpack vacuum, washing windows and mirrors, trash removal, replacing trash can liners as needed, and occasionally scrubbing walls and baseboards.

The Custodial & Facilities Specialist will also be responsible for stocking and maintaining products and supplies in three copy rooms, three break rooms, and ten restrooms, as well as coordinating service appointments and transportation for five company vehicles. Additionally, the Custodial & Facilities Specialist will provide backup support to the Assistant Facilities Manager with security and HVAC systems outside of regular hours.

Other responsibilities include safely and effectively operating cleaning equipment, preparing and using cleaning chemicals, running errands, assisting the Assistant Facilities Manager with special projects, completing tasks as assigned by management, promptly reporting any maintenance or repair needs to management, conducting regular checks on safety equipment to ensure functionality and compliance, helping with the movement of furniture, materials, and equipment, and assisting with snow and debris removal, as needed.

The Custodial & Facilities Specialist position is onsite Monday – Friday, 3:00 am – 12:00 pm, with a one-hour lunch and two 15-minute breaks.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE CUSTODIAL & FACILITIES SPECIALIST

The Custodial & Facilities Specialist qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, along with 1-2 years of experience in office cleaning or a related field. The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of cleaning products, tools, and equipment, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor. Basic proficiency in technology, including email, internet, and texting, is required, as well as proficiency in English, both verbal and written.

The role also requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, the capability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly, good vision, hearing, and manual dexterity, strong multitasking and prioritization skills, and the ability to listen and respond to feedback and suggestions from staff effectively.
