Job Summary:
As Construction Safety Professionals at CMI, we prioritize the implementation of best practices, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, and cultivating a culture of safety enhancement on targeted construction projects.
Responsibilities:
Mentor, educate, and train staff on safety protocols
Foster a positive safety culture within the team
Attend safety meetings as required, at varying frequencies
Conduct on-site observations and recommend safety work practices
Facilitate pre-task planning, audits, job safety analyses (JSAs), and permit processes
Conduct site-specific orientations, training classes, and toolbox talks
Generate reports as needed by the job site
Requirements and Experience:
Must have 5 years of recent construction safety oversight experience with no major gaps in employment
USACE project experience highly preferred
Experience in a heavy industrial environment required
Education and Education and Credentials:
OSHA 30 Construction Wallet Card issued within the last 5 years, required
First Aid CPR, AED required
8 hours of proven safety education every year for each of the years listed (to include site specific safety orientations and or classes you have taught)

Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of standing and walking often on rough terrain.
Ability to climb a ladder.
Ability to stoop, crawl and bend
Ability to lift up to 30lbs
Other Requirements:
Background check and potential drug screening required for the position
Overtime and flexible working hours may be necessary based on project demands
Extensive travel will be required travel and per diem paid
1099 preferred, W2 is an option
