Responsible for the cluster of markets – India and South Asia across all in-country strategy development & business leadership based on deep local market insight and alignment, where appropriate with regional/global strategies; manage an integrated P&L and delivering sales, marketing and profitability objectives across the Pharm business; building the organization capability (people, process, technology) in the market to accelerate and sustain growth; and leading/motivating a cross-functional team to deliver results for the short- and long-term.

Key responsibilities

Sets a compelling vision, challenges status quo, drives the debate on ensuring access to drive competitiveness and sustainable growth for the India and South Asia markets.

Formulates and communicated overall sales objectives, strategies for the country in alignment with local, regional and global direction, driving execution.

Directs the development and preparation of short-term and long-range sales/profitability and other financial/non-financial goals plans and budgets based upon the portfolio growth objectives.

Works closely with the cross functional teams to establish successful support.

Develop strong relationships with key customers, opinion leaders, industry associations and government representatives to achieve objectives of the group.

Actively influences regional and global stakeholders to enhance appreciation of India and South Asia markets and drive more inclusive growth through appropriate allocation of investment and resources, balancing the complexity and risk profiles.

Build an engaged workforce and establish a plan for continuous coaching & capability development to elevate India and South Asia talent narrative, and strength succession pipeline.

Demonstrate inspirational leadership to energise and engage hearts and minds, and lead organisation through change

Creates the structure and processes necessary to manage the organization's current activities and its projected growth.

Qualification/experience

A minimum of 12-15 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, and/or leadership positions with continuous & proven track record of success.

Extensive knowledge and experience in the healthcare and Pharmaceutical environment.

Strong business acumen, strategic mindset and operational excellence, preferably in a complex and volatile market environments.

Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive change, inspire and a strong people developer.

Ability to effectively influence and shape senior level business decisions.

A strong focus on the customer with demonstrated results building partnerships and collaborating at all levels and multiple functions/affiliates.

Undergraduate degree required. MBA (or equivalent) preferred.
