Industrial Civil Construction Contractor specializing in structural concrete and sitework/earthwork looking for a Concrete Finisher.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Superintendent/Foreman a Concrete Finisher will carry out assignments related to concrete placement, finishing, curing and cutting based on the proper selection of equipment, materials and finishing sequence needed to deliver an acceptable end product.
Responsibilities and Duties
Participates in the execution and completion of Finisher work, including the following duties:
Establishes finish grade during the pour of the slabs
Performs the following concrete placement and finish:
placing, finishing curing, and cutting of concrete slabs
patching and repairing of concrete work
concrete restoration
concrete joint treatments
applications of floor toppings
Ensures floor finishes meet project requirements consistent with FF/FL terminology
Proficient in the use of the following tools and has the knowledge to use the equipment at the proper time of the place-finishing sequence:
Straight edges to establish grade
Bull Floats, mops and Highway Straight Edges
Float blades, combo blades, and finish blades
Hand tools for Floor finishing, edging, joint tooling
Single and double trowel machines
Curing equipment
Pump Equipment
Vibratory Equipment
Walk-Behind Trowels
Double Riders
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all tools and equipment required
Ensures proper maintenance of place/finish equipment and tools
Qualified Candidate:
Must be willing to work in all kinds of weather and working conditions. Must be willing to assume the physical risks of working in an outdoor environment which includes but is not limited to traffic, construction equipment, extreme heat and/or cold and wildlife.
Must have ability to exert physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 50 pounds.
Be able to pass hair follicle drug screen and background check.
