Job Description

SOLIDWORKS Drafter Designer

Responsibilities:

Follow work instructions, interpret engineering drawings/blueprints.

Follow specified procedures and established techniques, create fully constrained 3D models from engineering input.

Create and prepare fully dimensioned 2D drawings from 3D models, layouts, sketches, or engineering input.

Calculate dimensions and standard allowances in accordance with established procedures and specifications.

Perform complex multi-part tolerance stack-ups.

Initiate change orders and create Engineering forms using computer aided drafting program.

Qualifications:

High school diploma, GED, or trade school education.

Minimum 2 years drafting experience.

Experience in the use of SOLIDWORKS.

Experience in SOLIDWORKS PDM a plus.

Mechanical aptitude, and significant math skills.

Excellent attention to detail, ability to prioritize, strong organizational and time management skills.

Must be able to proofread documents, mechanical drawings, and Bills of Material.

Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Familiarity with ASME Y14.5 including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
