Title: Counter Employee

Reports to: Restaurant Manager

Summary of Position: You will be expected to assist customers with the ordering and purchasing of their food orders. You will take their order accurately, either in person or over the phone, and have enough knowledge of our menu to assist customers in making their food choices. You will be expected to charge customers accurately and consistently when using the register. Duties and Responsibilities: Ring up customers for their orders in a helpful, friendly manner. Your drawer will be counted at the beginning and end of your shift to ensure that you are giving customers the proper amounts of change. Employees whose drawers are consistently incorrect at the end of their shift will have their cashiering responsibilities revoked, and overall employment reviewed. Bag the orders for takeout and delivery, making sure to include all utensils and dressings. If a customer is dining in, you will bring the food to their table with utensils and napkins and make sure that they receive all parts of their order. When not taking orders, the employee will be responsible for the general stocking of the restaurant. This includes dressings, smoothie pre-mades, the soda fridge and any bagging areas. Employees must also be checking on the general upkeep of the restaurant throughout their shift. This includes cleaning the café periodically, wiping any counters or tables that may need it, and checking trashes to avoid overflow.
